Tem Blessed will use Hip Hop music, storytelling, and spoken word poetry to explore and promote a culture of peace and love in the community. The 1 hr performance is engaging and relatable to youth in their language while addressing mature concepts of sustainability, empathy, and tolerance. Tem Blessed will challenge the audience to look within themselves, internalizing challenges and values of community and personal responsibility through his presentation and themes found in his graphic novel. The presentation is educational, fun, interactive, and entertaining and great for people ages 9+.

About Tem Blessed
Tem Blessed is a socially conscious Hip Hop artist that has been making relevant music with a message for over a decade. Born in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa to Cape Verdean parents, Tem has worked for over 18 years empowering youth. He is a graduate of UMass Amherst. His music and message are about social justice and sustainability and are designed to inspire the audience toward positive change and global responsibility. Tem is also the author of Planeta Blu - Rise of Agoo, an afro-futuristic graphic novel adventure that tells the tale of inner-city youth as they fight to save humanity and animal kind from a billionaire oil tycoon turned evil world conqueror. Planeta Blu - Rise of Agoo will be reprinted and published this October by Dark Horse Comics and distributed by Penguin Random House. 

Tem has shared the stage with national recording artist Common, KRS-1, Paul Stookey, from Peter, Pat and Paul, and Ludacris. Tem Blessed is part of Blest Energy band, 350.org Artist in Residence, and the Arts and Culture Manager for Van Jones' organization Dream.org. Tem recently released his new graphic novel: Planeta Blu- Rise of Agoo an epic 252-page, visual masterpiece that inspires young adults to dream big and work to save humanity through themes of compassion, sacrifice, determination, and love.
