Defensive Driving Monday, July 17 AND Tuesday, July 18, 5:30-8:30 PM both nights Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, and collision insurance for three years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months. Upcycle Jewelry Design Wednesday, July 19, 6:30 - 8:30 PM Bring old broken costume jewelry pieces to disassemble and create a new jewelry piece. Jewelry designer Donna Irvine will also go through what students bring in and discuss design ideas.

Stained Glass Workshop Friday, July 21, 1:00 - 3:30 PM Bonnie Bittner of Glass Art Studios in Port Jefferson leads this workshop where you will foil and solder pre-cut stained glass pieces into a dragonfly design. Fee: $20. Click here to register.

Classic Movie: Rebecca Saturday, July 22, 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM Following our "Classics Book Discussion" of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (book discussion registration is full), we will watch the ALfred Hitchcock film adaptation, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1941. The book discussion is full, but there are plenty of seats for the movie; no registration.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group 2nd & 4th Monday of each month, 1:00 - 2:30 PM in Study Room A in the Reference Area Join our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group, presented by Family & Children's Association and Parker Jewish Institute’s Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands, for caregivers of loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Meetings provide these caregivers opportunities to meet with others, participate in educational programs, and have questions answered about their loved one's care. Passport Services by Appointment We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports.

Hours are by appointment only. You may also call us at 631-286-0818 x1. Our service cannot renew a passport. Printed forms are available by the Reference Desk.

Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.

Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.

Each service provides live virtual assistance every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
