Our Summer Reading Clubs started yesterday -- stop by the library to sign up! Here are the details for the different programs: Children | Teens | Adults

We are now closed on Sundays for the Summer, and we will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, for Independence Day.

Suffolk County Public Libraries
Summer Tour
a new county-wide summer program
 
July 1 - August 31
Visit other Suffolk libraries, get as many stamps as you can, and enter to win prizes!
 
Starting on Saturday, July 1, pick up a Suffolk Summer Library Tour booklet from the Children's Department or Reference Desk.
 
Bring the booklet with you to get stamped when you visit any of the listed libraries. You can go to whichever you like, in any order.

Watch Hill Ferry
Discounted Tickets

Discounted round-trip adult tickets are for sale at the Patron Services Desk.
Tickets are $16, valid until to mid-October. 
Available while our supply lasts. 
 
Be sure to check the Watch Hill Ferry website for their hours and procedures.
 
 
 
Blood Drive

Blood donors receive two tickets to a Mets baseball game! (while supplies last)

Safely dispose of unwanted medication. All medications must be placed loosely in zip-lock bags. Pills & capsules only - no liquids.

with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department.

Health Screenings

Services for adults 18+
 
• Brief cardiac history
• Blood pressure screening
• BMI screening
• Health education
• Referrals as needed
• Simple blood test for cholesterol and glucose
• Resources for those without insurance
 
Provided by the Catholic Health's Mobile Outreach Bus

Museum Passes & Discount Tickets
The Library offers free passes to select museums on Long Island & in NYC.
We also provide access to discounted tickets to the Long Island Aquarium, the Bronx Zoo, Splish Splash Water Park, & the Watch Hill Ferry. Learn more here!
New print-on-demand passes: the Harbes Barnyard Adventure, and Sagtikos Manor.

Sign Up to be a Literacy Volunteer
Are you interested in helping an English speaker learn to read and write? The Library is looking for volunteers with instructional experience. You can open countless doors for 
someone else by offering the gift of literacy. Interested persons should complete this application and contact Jack in the Reference Department at 631-286-0818 ext 1.

Renew or Apply for a New Library Card on Our Website
South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.

 
Passport Services by Appointment
We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports. 
Hours are by appointment only.

Our service cannot renew a passport.
There is a separate process for that by mail.

Available Mondays through Fridays (subject to change).

Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Each service provides live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
