Course completion entitles you to a 10% discount on vehicle liability, personal injury protection, and collision insurance for three years; and a reduction of up to 4 points on your driving record every 18 months. Upcycle Jewelry Design 
Wednesday, July 19, 6:30 - 8:30 PM

Bring old broken costume jewelry pieces to disassemble and create a new jewelry piece. Jewelry designer Donna Irvine will also go through what students bring in and discuss design ideas.
You’ll leave inspired and with new skills to upcycle treasures in the future. Fee: $5.00. Click here to register.
 
 
 
Stained Glass Workshop

Bonnie Bittner of Glass Art Studios in Port Jefferson leads this workshop where you will foil and solder pre-cut stained glass pieces into a dragonfly design. Fee: $20. Click here to register.
 
 
Classic Movie: Rebecca

Following our "Classics Book Discussion" of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (book discussion registration is full), we will watch the ALfred Hitchcock film adaptation, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1941.
 
The book discussion is full, but there are plenty of seats for the movie; no registration.
 
 
Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group
2nd & 4th Monday of each month, 1:00 - 2:30 PM
in Study Room A in the Reference Area
 
Join our Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiver Support Group, presented by Family & Children's Association and Parker Jewish Institute’s Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands, for caregivers of loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Meetings provide these caregivers opportunities to meet with others, participate in educational programs, and have questions answered about their loved one's care.

Up to 10 teams will compete to finish the same 500-piece puzzle within 2.5 hours. Register once for your team of 2 to 4 members, open to Adults and Young Adults entering sixth grade and up. 
Please arrive by 5:50 as the tournament begins promptly at 6:00 PM. Prizes will be awarded to all members of the first team to complete their puzzle correctly. Click here to register.

Passport Services by Appointment
We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports. 
Hours are by appointment only.

Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
