Adventure Begins at Your Library

Registration for the Summer Reading Program is available Saturday, June 1 through Saturday, August 31. This year’s program theme is Adventure Begins at Your Library. All ages are welcome to participate! Information for each program is included below.

In addition to the summer reading programs, the library offers outdoor toys and equipment in the Library of Things collection, discounts and passes to local museums and attractionsonline collections and databases, and more. For more information, call the library or email reference@londonderrynh.org.

Children's Summer Reading Program (Toddlers-Grade 6)

The children's program is open to toddlers through 6th graders and includes a variety of fun activities and prizes. Registration is available in the Children's Room. Staff encourage children to choose a challenging but realistic goal for the number of books to be read over the summer. A reading log will be given to each participant to keep track of the number of books read toward their goal. All books read or listened to count! Children who register for the Summer Reading Program by the end of the day on Saturday, July 20 will be entered to win one of three raffle prizes.

Beginning Monday, July 8, participants that have reached the half-way point to their goal are invited to come to the library to claim a prize. Don't forget to bring reading logs to show us your progress!

Beginning on Monday, August 5, once their goal is reached, children may bring in their reading logs to claim their finale prize bag for a job well-done! Children have until closing on Saturday, September 7 to turn their completed reading logs in.
