Stress Management Workshop

Paula will introduce the concept of the relaxation response as an antidote to the stress response. She will explain how the stress response is automatic, in contrast to the relaxation response which requires conscious effort and improves with practice. Additionally she will offer a strategy for managing thoughts based on cognitive behavior and positive psychology that will be practiced during the session and ends with a short meditation practice. This program is based on content from the Positivity and Relaxation Training (PART) program which was designed by the MGH Benson-Henry Mindbody Institute.
