Hello South Country Community,
 
Families with Children, have you signed up for our in-person programs for August? Click here to see which programs still have space. Parents and caregivers -- register for our Positive Parenting Program to learn practical strategies for bedtime and mealtime.
 
Teens, as of this email, we still have a couple Solar Pizza Box Oven kits. Also, there's still room to volunteer for our Book Sale (multiple days/times available) and Mini Golf. 
 
Adults, join us for Eddie Costello's Antiques Roadshow, and the book discussion and movie screening of The Age of Innocence.
 
The final days of the Summer Reading Clubs are upon us. For children and young adults, the last day to submit tickets is August 19. For adults, the last day is August 11.

Print-on-Demand passes include the Harbes Barnyard Adventure, Sagtikos Manor, and the LI Science Center.

Sign Up to be a Literacy Volunteer
Are you interested in helping an English speaker learn to read and write? The Library is looking for volunteers with instructional experience. You can open countless doors for 
someone else by offering the gift of literacy. Interested persons should complete this application and contact Jack in the Reference Department at 631-286-0818 ext 1.

Passport Services by Appointment
We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports. 
Hours are by appointment only.

Our service cannot renew a passport.
There is a separate process for that by mail.
 
Printed forms are available by the Reference Desk.

South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.

Available Mondays through Fridays (subject to change).

Fee: $2.00 per notarized signature
 
Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Each service provides live virtual assistance every day
from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.
