Local Government 101 Tuesday, September 19, 5:00 - 6:00 PM How does the Suffolk County government work? How does it differ from our federal and state governments? This program will analyze the results on the last election, and see how and why our community voted the way that they did.
|
|
We will discuss how a bill becomes a law and how you can get involved. This program will be educational/nonpartisan, and is open to adults and teens. Students will receive 1 hour of community service credit for attending. Click here to register.

Voter Registration Drive Volunteers Tuesday, September 19, 5:00 - 7:00 PM Assist library staff in handing out Voter Registration Forms. Earn 2 hours of community service credit.

Pumpkins for Homebound Thursday, September 21, 5:00 - 6:00 PM Create pumpkins from discarded books. All pumpkins will be delivered to the library's homebound patrons by a staff member. Earn 1 community service hour.

Drop-In Craft: Locker Magnets Wednesday, September 20 3:00 - 5:00 PM Personalize magnets with the button machine to decorate your locker. No registration necessary.

100 Books Before Graduation Take the challenge and read 100 books before high school graduation! For every 20 books you read, you'll receive a prize. You cannot read a book twice.
