Color Me Curious with The Bakken Museum

Radiant reds, bright blues, and plush purples are all around us. But where do these colors come from? In this 60-minute workshop, learn about the history and science of natural colorants, get familiar with pH as a chemical property of substances, and explore how scientific knowledge can inform the art humans make. Using colorants and chemical solutions, students will produce a beautiful palette of colors that they will use to create their own watercolor masterpiece. Geared toward kids 8-12. Registration is required.
