Postponed: Art on Ice: Lisa Goren ( new date TBD)

Wednesday, December 66:00—7:00 PMMeeting RoomNorwell Public Library64 South Street, Norwell, MA, 02061

Did you ever imagine yourself as an adventurer? Lisa Goren has spent the last 20+ years traveling to the coldest environments on the planet taking images and turning them into watercolors that bring the Northern and Southern Polar regions to Boston. Traveling to Antarctica, 25 years ago, she was “just” an ecotourist/artist. Quickly, she realized that she was an important front-seat witness to the climate change occurring all around.

Come hear Lisa talk about ice and its infinite variations, its importance to our planet, and how her art has changed throughout the years to best capture what she has seen. You’ll see magnificent images of ice, Polar landscapes, AND you’ll hear how she developed a (very healthy) fear of Polar bears!
