About J.M. Tompkins
As an author, J. M. first published at the age of sixteen, had a popular poetry blog, published in several magazines, and began working on what would become the Habitual Humanity Series in 2012. She finally took the plunge in 2019 to begin publishing her books. In the writing community, J. M. has organized multiple writing groups, including the Next Level Writing Group and The Indie Group; is the founder of the ASPC (Atlanta Self-Publishing Conference), which takes place annually in late spring; and has taught classes on self-publishing and writing science fiction.

Within her writing, she loves to combine what she refers to as "interesting science" with her fears of what our future society might be like. "Interesting science," according to J. M., is the possibilities of current science including Artificial Intelligence, personal data, biohacking, genetic modifications, and more.
