Never Too Old: a Young Adult Book Club for Adults meets the 1st WEDNESDAY of the month to enjoy the relevance and diversity of young adult and middle grade books and authors. All ages are welcome. Our next meeting is Wednesday, January 3rd at 5pm. Email Beth@LopezLibrary.org for more information
January 3rd, 2024! – Author Kate Dicamillo – Kate DiCamillo has written a “bounty of books beloved by teachers, parents, and former children who’ve grown up reading her.” (Krista Tippett). The Puppets of Spelhorst is her newest novel, but she has many more, including The Tale of Despereaux, The Tiger Rising, The Beatryce Prophecy, Because of Winn-Dixie, Flora & Ulysses, and others.
February 7th – Everything You Wanted to Know About Indians But Were Afraid to Ask by Anton Treuer – There is both an adult and a young adult version; read either one; it’s fun to explore the sections that interest you.
March 6th – Novels in Verse – We’ve enjoyed these in the past, but have since purchased many more titles, so it will be worth reading in this unique genre again.
