We Won a Grant!
We’re pleased to announce we were awarded a grant from the Cultural Coalition of Washington County (CCWC) for $2000 for an upcoming Celebrating Our Heritage event series.
The grant will allow us to host four individual heritage events in 2024.
- Día de los Niños
- Asian-American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month
- Juneteenth
- Native American Heritage Month
We are excited to contract with performers through the Oregon Folklife Network, as well as provide culturally relevant Take & Make crafts at each family-friendly event.
Organizations were awarded through a competitive process based on their proposed arts, heritage and humanities project serving CCWC’s outlined goals based on the Washington County Cultural Plan. Additional award-winning grants will be announced by CCWC.
Funding for this grant program comes entirely from the Oregon Cultural Trust, which distributes money to Oregon counties and tribes annually to support local community cultural programs. In 2023, the CCWC awarded $76,207 to fund 39 projects. For details on the program or to make a donation, visit the Oregon Cultural Trust at culturaltrust.org.
