In each edition of the Library News, below the section with our Upcoming Programs and Activities (that is divided into Children/Teen/Adult categories), we list many of our ongoing library services. These listings rarely change from one edition to the next. What are your general opinions about this bottom-half of the Library News? (check all that apply)

I find it useful.

I find it cluttered, overwhelming, or otherwise unhelpful.

My email viewer cuts it off, so I rarely see them.

I would prefer to see just one or two of these services each time, on a rotating basis.

I generally ignore these, but I'm glad these are all listed in every edition, just in case I need to learn about one.

7. The Library News is emailed every two weeks. What do you think about this frequency? *

I would prefer a weekly email.

I like the current schedule of every two weeks.

I would prefer monthly -- once at the same time as the bi-monthly paper mailed newsletter ("Library Notes"), and then a month later to remind me of what programs remain.

8. How do you feel about the length of the descriptions for our programs and services? *

I would prefer longer descriptions.

I like the current amount of text -- it's enough without being too much.

I would prefer less text -- just the title, date and time, an image, and a link to learn more and register.

9. You can click on the blue underlined links (and most images) in the Library News to learn more about a program or service. What is your behavior toward these links?

I often click the links to learn more and/or register for a program I'm interested in.

I occasionally click the links, but just as often register over the phone or at the library.

I rarely, if ever, click the links.

10. We use pictures to illustrate most events and services listed in the Library News. What is your general attitude toward the use of images? *

I would like to see more images and less text. If I want to learn more, I'll click the link.

The balance of images and text works well for me.

I would prefer fewer images -- the text is enough, while the images add clutter.

11. We use a few different background colors to divide different sections of the Library News. What do you think about the background colors?

I would like to see more variety in background colors, with seasonal changes.

13. Currently, we produce one all-encompassing edition of the Library News, which contains both general information and links to three separate pages of programs for Children, Teens (Young Adults), and Adults. What do you think about this arrangement?

I like that everything comes in one email and that I can click the an age group for their programs.

I like that everything comes in one email, but I wish the three lists of programs (Children, Teens, Adults) linked directly to each program's registration page.

I wish the different age groups (Children, Teens, Adults) each had their own separate email, and that I could subscribe to which ones I wanted.

I would really prefer to just receive emails with the digital version of the bimonthly paper newsletter, emergency closures, and that's it.

14. Additional Languages: We currently offer the e-newsletter in English, and translated into Spanish through Google Translate.
