- Visit the Youth Services department to share your favourite Frog and Toad story.
- Entries will be placed into a random draw for a chance to win two (2) tickets to a Capitol Theatre performance of A Year with Frog and Toad.

- Stop by the Library and pick up your Flower pot kit to make and plant your own little wildflower garden. (Soil not included)

- May 10th - Discover a piece of history with Marg Trottman and Dianne Cosway as they present information on 'The British Home Children.'
- May 17th - Unlock the secrets of handwriting with Elaine Charal's captivating Handwriting Analysis.
- May 24th - Join Certified Diabetes Educators Zuretha Langenhoven and Heather Cluney as they share their expertise on heart health.
- May 31st - Daniel Orr from Northumberland County Waste Services shares insights on the ins and outs of waste management.
- Join us in the Reading Room for some affection and learn more about the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program at this drop-in event.

Youth Colouring Contest - All Library Locations - Tuesday, April 2nd to Sunday, April 14th

- Celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz. Enter your completed colouring page for a chance to win four (4) tickets to a VOS Theatre matinee performance of the Wizard of Oz, on Saturday, April 27th at 2:00 pm. The winner will be selected by random draw.

- Apr. 19th - Explore a world of herbs, from garden to plate. After, enjoy a delicious butter herb tasting with speakers from the Cobourg Garden Club.

- 11:30 a.m. - Looking for help with family research, or need to know where to start? Whether your research is local or afar, drop by and speak with members of the Lakeshore Genealogical Society, Cobourg and District Historical Society or staff of the Cobourg Public Library to direct you to the resources you will need.
- 1:30 p.m. - Join us for a special presentation (in person or register to attend by Zoom) by Robert J. Pearce (M.A., PhD.) on "The Rice Lake Trading Post".
- Archaeologist, Dr. Robert Pearce will tell us about the history of the Rice Lake Trading Post, established in 1796 at the mouth of the Otonabee River.
- Learn about the historical and genealogical aspects of the surrounding region in the 1800's; The American Revolution; The War of 1812; The North West Company; The Mackenzie Rebellion; The families of Joseph & Lawrence Herkimer; Their nephew Captain Charles Anderson and his family; and Joseph and Rachel Harris. Closely tied to this story and its people is the formation and growth of the Rice Lake Reserve (Hiawatha First Nation) and Otonabee Township in Upper Canada.
