Program Description

Event Details

Want to make a wonderful rag quilt? In the coming weeks and months (three sessions, three consecutive months) you will have a complete quilt. You should plan to attend all three sessions, 3/26/24 - 4/30/24 - 5/14/24.

Here is what you will need:

2 1/2 yards of fabric for the front.

2 1/2 yards for the back of the quilt.

2 1/2 yards of very colorful fleece for the middle of the quilt.

You will need a good pair of fabric scissors...(not a pair that has touched paper).

Plus Martha will let you know one other tool you will need to complete the project (She will show you what it is at the first session).

You will not need a sewing machine until the second time we meet (more about that in the first session).

If you know how to cut fabric...cut each set into 10x10 inch squares...if not bring it with you and we will arrange to have them cut for you. Martha will bring scraps of fabric for the flowers.

Martha has taught students how to make this quilt many times and not a single person, beginner or advanced, has ever been disappointed with the results! She has taught quilting for more than 30 years starting in her home and in colleges and in her own shop. This is one of her more popular classes and it gives her great pleasure to share it with you. Come explore the world of quilting and find out how exciting it can be to create something from nothing.
