MML Children’s Programs

Overview

Here in the Children’s Department, we love reading, learning, and organized chaos. We’re always excited to share that with you. Within the department we offer places to play, read, explore, and learn. Throughout the year we offer a variety of programs that offer a hands-on approach to that ideal. See details on our current programs below and feel free to call 419-347-5576 EXT 5 or email [email protected] with questions or ideas.

2023-2024 Programming

We are so excited for our 2023-2024 events and activities!

Take a look below for all the details. We hope you’ll join us for some of the fun this year!

Events are open to children through 6th grade. A lot of our activities are great for the whole family, but we do have a few things geared specifically to certain age groups.

We’ll update regularly and remember to keep an eye on our Calendar and Facebook for the most up-to-date information and changes.

Special Events

We plan a little something extra fun each month for the whole family. This year we’ll be trying some old favorites, something new, and attempting to do a few of your favorites more than once.

  • May:
    • Saturday Playdate – May 11

Study Buddies

September 6 – May 22

  • Kindergarten – 6th Grade welcome to attend/register for help
  • 6th – 12th Grade welcome to register as “Helper Buddies”

Every Wednesday we’ll meet in the Children’s Department to use library resources, get personalized help, and work together. Feel free to register for an assigned Helper Buddy or just stop in on the weeks you need a little extra help to work with a Floating Buddy.

We’ll provide snacks to keep your brain working!

Registration Forms are available at the Front Desk.

Family Art Night

September  – May on the Second Tuesday of the Month at 6:00

Join us once a month for Family Art Night! Bring the whole family for a night of fun. We’ll try new techniques, practice new skills, and get a little messy while we’re stretching our creativity.
