VEGETATION STATION SEED LIBRARY

Our seed library provides the public over 50 different seed varieties that include vegetables, herbs, and flowers. All for free! This new library resource is made possible by the Concord Public Library Foundation.

GAME CLUB

Join us in the Blanchard Room on Monday, May 5th, for chess and other classic games--all ages and skill levels welcome! There will not be instruction, but there will be equipment and a chance to meet new friends who love to play chess, cribbage, checkers, and dominoes.

Medicare Basics

Monday, May 5th, at 6pm in 

the Library Auditorium 

Annual Medicare enrollment is upon us! Come to the library for an event that will take the mystery out of Medicare and give you the opportunity to get all of your Medicare questions answered. This informative class will help participants understand the basics of Medicare in relatable, easy-to-understand language, and provide the tools needed to pick the best plan for each individual.

Lyme Disease Ecology


Tuesday, May 6th, at 6pm, in the Library Auditorium

In this one-hour discussion, we will learn about ticks and tick-borne diseases. Why are tick populations and rates of tick-borne diseases increasing every year? We will look at how forest and wildlife management, essential predators, plants, and wildlife behavior play a significant role in human and ecosystem health.

Your pollinator garden is much closer than you think! Join Hannah MacBride as she walks you through the basics of designing, planting, and caring for a garden that is not only beautiful, but beneficial to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds too.

Wednesday, May 14th, at 6:00pm, at the Heights Auditorium

This fun group of ukulele-playing ladies will delight you with their versions of standards and hits. Come to the islands! Tropical prints are encouraged. Mocktails will start at 6pm, and the perfomance will begin at 6:30.

Starting in May, we will have Community Looms available at the Penacook and Heights Branch Libraries! Drop in to try your hand at basic weaving techniques, and add your work to a one-of-a-kind community art project.  


MUSEUM PASSES


Choose from over 20 different museums and local attractions! This service is provided courtesy of the Concord Education Association, the Concord Public Library Foundation, and the Concord Public LIbrary.

Coupons and several digital passes are available to Concord Public Library (CPL) cardholders.

CPL PUZZLE EXCHANGE



Drop a puzzle in the donation drawer and choose a "new to you" puzzle. Even if you don't have a puzzle to donate, you are welcome to take a puzzle. The exchange is located on the main floor of the library in the wooden filing cabinets near the fire exit.
