🎟 Introducing Kanopy Tickets! 🎟

In case you missed it! On November 1, 2023, Kanopy play credits changed over to "tickets." Instead of 7 play credits, users now get 21 tickets each month to watch films. Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video platform that offers films, TV shows and documentaries free to Quincy residents through the Thomas Crane Public Library! Kanopy's offerings include foreign films, older films, independent features, documentaries, and experimental work that other widely available streaming platforms don't often carry. You can stream Kanopy on your computer, smart TV, Android, and Apple iOS devices!

With the new ticket system, you'll be able to see the number of tickets and access period for each film next to the play button. After starting a video, users can watch it as many times as you’d like within the viewing period without using more tickets. Some titles don't require any tickets to watch! Your "Continue Watching" section will show you how much time you have left on your item! Loan periods vary per content and can range from 3 days or up to 21 days.

Keep in mind that tickets do not roll over from month to month. You'll start fresh each month with a new set of 21 Kanopy tickets!

Additionally, Kanopy Kids titles don't use tickets, so you can watch as many kid-friendly titles as you'd like.

"A Heck of a Way to Stay Warm"
John Porcino Music & Stories!

Wednesday, December 27
2 - 3:30 PM
North Quincy Library
Ages 3 years and up

Join nationally renowned storyteller/musician John Porcino at the North Quincy Library for
“A Heck of a Way to Stay Warm” - a patchwork quilt of Jon’s most beloved tales and songs to celebrate the holiday season and warm up a chilly winter's day.

Much of John Porcino’s training for his 30 years as a storyteller and singer arose while
creating and participating in the zany & touching moments around a campfire - all of life,
seen through a flickering fire light, surrounded by the magnificent beauty of the natural world.
These days John spins some 200 performances and workshops each year for folks of all all ages.
His performances are a mix of stories and songs that are sparked to life with
warmth, humor, a playful touch of audience participation,
and a twist of music from around the world.

Together we'll enter a world where woolen mittens burst into laughter
and snow banks melt to reveal a blooming heart.
Joyful, warm, playful stories and songs that celebrate the season's hidden light.

This program is best suited for children ages 3 and older accompanied by an adult.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Quincy Cultural Council,
a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

The Woman in Me
by Britney Spears

"The Woman in Me is a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.
In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.
Written with remarkable candor and humor, Spears’s groundbreaking book illuminates the enduring power of music and love—and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms, at last" [Novelist].
