Welcome Quincy 400! 400 years of the people and ideas that have shaped America. 400 years of history, diversity, and culture. 400 years of community. Founded in 1625, Quincy has been a witness to 400 years of change, growth, and innovation. From its origins as a small settlement to its development into a vibrant City, Quincy has always been a place of legacy and pride. Along 27 miles of Massachusetts coastline and as the birthplace of Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, our City holds a special place in the narrative of American democracy and governance. The City invites everyone to join in on commemorating this landmark anniversary in 2025. Join us as we honor this extraordinary place with a year full of celebrations and events. Together, we can reflect on our past, celebrate our present, and look forward to a bright future.
