The Unfortunate Passing of Pliant McTwist: A Murder Mystery Team event!

5:30 - 6:30pm

The mayor suspects foul play in the case of Pliant McTwist. He has allowed me to gather a group of amateur detectives together to solve this crime! We have just 1 hour to interrogate all the suspects, beat them at their own games, and sift through all the evidence to figure out who is responsible, how they did it and why!


Be the first team to finish and be promoted to Detective and earn your badge! Teens and Adults welcome!

Love in Metal: The Artwork of Abraham Megerdichian

Robert Megerdichian, son of artist Abraham Megerdichian (1923-1983), offers an inside look into his father’s miniature works of art made from scrap metal over the course of 30 years. 


Abe Megerdichian's work will be on display at the library through July.

Drop In Fireworks Painting

Make a fireworks painting in time for the Fourth of July! Using acrylic paint and cardboard tubes, you will stamp a sky full of sparks. This is a drop in program available while supplies last. Dress for mess. Best for ages 6 and up with some caregiver help. No registration.

Learn about the hula hoop and try one out. Kat loves sharing the joy of this plastic circle with kids and adults alike. The program starts off with an introduction, a demo, rules and then guided instruction. The session ends with a "show off" period. Recommended for ages 6 and up.

How do some species deal with extreme temperatures and other challenges? How do they find food and avoid predators Come find out as you meet some desert animals up close, and learn more about their wild relatives. Ages 5 and up accompanied by caregiver. What is Decoden? Decoden is a Japanese craft where you start with a faux whipped cream base (silicone) and add embellishments like pearls, rhinestones, stickers, resin, and clay charms.


This program is intended for those in Grades 6 to 12 and their guardians. Adults are welcome to sign up starting July 16!

Two-bit crook Harry Lockhart (Robert Downey Jr.) stumbles into an audition for a mystery film while on the run from the cops. Winning the part, he lands in Hollywood, where he's flung into a tangled, murderous conspiracy with his childhood sweetheart, Harmony Lane (Michelle Monaghan), and hard-boiled private eye Perry van Shrike (Val Kilmer). 


Registration required, pizza will start at 5:00pm - feel free to bring a dish to share.

Jigsaw Puzzle Competition

Do you love puzzles? 

Can your team complete a jigsaw puzzle faster than your friends and neighbors? Each team will receive the same 500 piece puzzle provided by the library. The team that finishes first or completes the most before time is called wins!

Adults, teens, and families with children aged 10+ are welcome to participate. We will be in the meeting room which means we can have up to 8 teams!

Mindful Yoga for Everyone

This 60-minute yoga practice offers a gentle mix of Hatha yoga-based styles, including breathwork and meditation to stimulate the energy systems in the body while at the same time bringing calm to the mind.

Gentle Yoga Flow and Stretch

Tuesday, July 29

6:00 - 7:30pm

This is a Yang style class which focuses more on the larger muscle groups with slower, thoughtful and accessible movements, mostly on the ground, combined with gentle stretching. The class also includes breathwork and meditation to help center and calm the mind to to facilitate the connection of the mind, breath, body, and spirit.


All levels are welcome, with a focus on beginners and advanced beginners.
