Conservation Conversations: Earth Day Panel 2025 (Hybrid Event)

Do you want to learn about local conservation projects and leaders in your community? Join the Appalachian Mountain Club's Southeastern Massachusetts Chapter this Earth Day at the Norwell Public Library to hear about all types of environmental activism and engagement including state-level climate advocacy, sustainable beekeeping, and the intersection of art and nature. Hear from local environmental experts and learn more about how you get involved with efforts to protect and restore our natural resources.

Miss Ari's Family Tree Sing-A-Long show turns singing & dancing into learning & play! With live music featuring ukulele and guitar, Ari covers the classic nursery rhymes, colors and the alphabet. Join Erin and Blake from Plymouth County Mosquito Control Project and Plymouth Extension to learn all about everyone's least favorite biters, mosquitoes and ticks! Learn about their life cycles, why they bite, why it's important to protect yourself from bites, and how these local organizations are helping. For ages 5 and up with a caregiver. Norwell Garden Club's president Susan Schultze and vice president Christine Josti will focus on milk jug sowing and “snail rolling,” both of which are easy and effective ways of planting seeds that do not take up a lot of room.

This is a Yang style class which focuses more on the larger muscle groups with slower, thoughtful and accessible movements, mostly on the ground, combined with gentle stretching. The class also includes breathwork and meditation to help center and calm the mind to facilitate the connection of the mind, breath, body, and spirit.


All levels are welcome, with a focus on beginners and advanced beginners.
