The Norwell High School Jazz Combo is a small group of students who have been involved in the jazz program for multiple years. The Combo is modeled on small jazz groups from the 1940s-1960s, and it performs mostly jazz standards from that era.

Each team will receive the same 500 piece puzzle provided by the library. The team that finishes first or completes the most before time is called wins!

Fannie Lou Hamer's America, winner of Best TV Feature Documentary or miniseries at the IDA Awards, is a portrait of Mississippi sharecropper-turned-human-rights-activist, Fannie Lou Hamer, one of the Civil Rights Movement’s greatest leaders.


Pizza dinner will start at 5:30pm - feel free to bring a side dish to share.


The film starts at 6:00pm, brief discussion after the film.

Gentle Yoga Flow and Stretch

6:30 - 7:30pm

This is a Yang style class which focuses more on the larger muscle groups with slower, thoughtful and accessible movements, mostly on the ground, combined with gentle stretching. The class also includes breathwork and meditation to help center and calm the mind to to facilitate the connection of the mind, breath, body, and spirit.


All levels are welcome, with a focus on beginners and advanced beginners.

Literary Circle Book Group: The Color Purple

The Color Purple is an epistolary novel—a novel told in letter form—in which Alice Walker traces the gradual liberation of Celie, a poor, Black woman who must overcome abuse and separation from her beloved sister Nettie. Set in the South and an unnamed African country during the 1930 to 1940s, the novel is a study in the ways in which Black women use their faith, relationships, and creativity to survive racial and sexual oppression.

NPL Evening Book Group: Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison 

Wednesday, February 26

6:30 - 7:30pm

This month we will be reading Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison published in 1952. It was Ellison’s only novel to be published during his lifetime. Invisible Man is widely acknowledged as one of the great novels of American literature and a landmark in African American literature, winning the National Book Award for Fiction in 1953, the first novel by a Black author to receive that honor.
