Do you like chili? Cyndi from the Sierra Club will share her homemade vegan chili at this potluck lunch!

Photographer Donna Keene, will give a talk on how she got started in photography and show pictures from her latest adventures. Pictures of New Zealand, Iceland and abandoned houses and buildings from the past will be featured.

Celebrating the Big Split

175 years ago, in 1849, the residents of today's Norwell decided to break away from the Town of Scituate and become "South Scituate." Why did this break away happen? Learn more about the division and celebrate the occasion with a birthday cake!


Local historian Daniel Neumann from the Norwell Historical Society will give us an overview of this consequential split.

Join Christine from Little Bee Yoga for 45 minutes of beginning yoga for both caregiver and child ages 2-6. Enjoy fun poses, music, stories, breathing exercises, and guided relaxations. Children grade 3 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver. Registration required, please bring your own yoga mat.

Drop In Acorn Place Cards

Drop in the day before Thanksgiving and make an acorn place card or two for your holiday table! We will have acorn templates, markers, and other decorations. Great keepsake for kiddos and adults alike! All ages welcome, children should be accompanied by a caregiver. While supplies last. Please note the library closes at 1:00pm this day.

Calling all teen gamers! Join us for the Video Games Club here at Norwell Public Library. Every month we will select from a group of switch games to play together ranging from Mariokart to Cuphead. If there's a special game you wish to see on the list be sure to tell Brooke the Teen Librarian. Must be rated E, E10+ or T to be accepted. This program is for grades 6 to 12. Snacks will be provided to those in attendance!

Child Reading a Book Outdoors in the Fall

Qi Gong - Tai Chi

Tuesdays at 11:00am

Tai chi has been proven through medical studies to benefit the body in many tangible ways. The slow graceful movements help reduce the risk of falling & ease arthritic joint pain. 


Ongoing classes will be held on Tuesday mornings from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon in NPL’s Meeting Room.


Beginners of all ages & abilities are welcome. Wear loose comfortable clothing.
