Lara Williams will be hosting an art reception for her NPL November exhibit, Unearthed, on Saturday, November 8th. Drop in anytime between 1pm and 3pm for a chance to meet the artist. Light refreshments provided.

Massachusetts South Shore Woodturners

We are excited to welcome back the Massachusetts South Shore Woodturners! Their works will be on display in the glass display case November through December.

Seed Saving and Winter Sowing: Sally Rossi-Ormon

This hands-on demonstration will introduce attendees to the proper techniques used for seed saving, storage and use, as well as preparation for Winter sowing of seeds.This year’s preparation will save time and money and will result in next year’s abundant gardens.

Issues Facing Our Democracy: Free Press (Series Part IV)

Join us for the fourth installment of our ongoing series, "Issues Facing Our Democracy," as we explore the critical topic of Freedom of the Press. This panel discussion will examine:

• The role of democracy in upholding a free press

• Current legal protections and emerging threats

• The rise of disinformation and how to distinguish truth from falsehood

• The importance of fact-checking

• The essential role of civic education in supporting media literacy

Baby Play Group

Brick Builders

Drop by the Children's Studio after school and build with our Legos! Please leave your own Legos at home. Best for children age 4 and up, caregivers must remain in the library. No meeting November 11.

Take and Make: Cardboard Tube Turkey

Use the materials in this kit to make a festive turkey from a cardboard tube.  All ages. Registration required to secure your kit. You may pick up any time during the week. Spanish Storytime with SELA

Attend a special Spanish storytime for ages 1-5 and do a craft! Hosted by SELA: The International Private School in Hingham, MA. Registration is appreciated through this link. 

Read to a Dog: Skipper

Come meet Skipper, a therapy dog who loves pats and being read to! Register for a 15-minute slot for one-on-one reading time with Skipper and his mom, NHS school psychologist. Please bring a book or select one from the library's collection before your scheduled reading time.

Yoga for Kids with Little Bee

Join Christine from Little Bee Yoga for 45 minutes of beginning yoga for both caregiver and child ages 2-6. Enjoy fun poses, music, stories, breathing exercises, and guided relaxations. Children grade 3 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver. Please bring your own yoga mat. Registration required.

Drop In Thanksgiving Utensil Holders

Color in your very own utensil holders for Thanksgiving! A fork, knife, spoon, and napkin tuck into this festive pocket for your holiday table. No registration required, while supplies last. Children must be accompanied by caregiver.

Sesame Street Scavenger Hunt

In the children's room this month, you'll find some of your favorite Sesame Street characters!

Homework Club

Sit and work on your homework, snacks and water will be provided! Usually this club meets on the first Thursday of each month.

Take and Make: Felt Turkey

Make your own felt turkey! All the supplies will be included in the kits. This program is intended for Teens and Adults. Children can participate but will need assistance from their guardians. First come, first served craft.

Video Games Club

Calling all teen gamers! Join us for the Video Games Club here at Norwell Public Library. Every month we will select from a group of switch games to play together ranging from Mariokart to Cuphead. If there's a special game you wish to see on the list be sure to tell Brooke the Teen Librarian. 

Must be rated E, E10+ or T to be accepted. This program is for grades 6 through 12. Snacks will be provided to those in attendance!
