May 17 is our last Saturday open until September 6!

May is flying, and summer is right around the corner!  This is a heads up that we'll be closed Saturdays for June, July and August.

Tuesday Afternoons at 4:00 pm
 
Build with Lego for an hour (bricks provided).  Finished creations may be put on display in the children's room.

Wednesday Mornings at 10:15 am
 
Simple picture books, big books, finger plays, songs and movement for children 18-35 months with a parent/caregiver.

Read to a Dog (all ages)
Saturday, May 17 at 11:00 am
 
Spider and Trouble, the Chihuahua therapy dogs, will be at the library.  Children may read to them or just visit with them.

Picture Book Time (3&4 years)
Monday Mornings at 10:15 am
 
Listen to a picture book, then do a simple craft. Three-and-four-year-olds are generally not accompanied by caregivers.

Patty-Cake Storytime (babies)
Monday Mornings at 11:00 am
 
Nursery rhymes with movement, board books, big books, finger plays and more for babies newborn to 17 months with a parent/caregiver.

Children's Yoga Class (3-6 years)
Monday Mornings at 11:00 am
 
Miss Christine from Little Bee Yoga Co. is excited to share the magic of yoga with John Curtis Library families!! Each class is 45 minutes. The class is geared toward children ages three to six years, but all ages are welcome to participate.  Please bring a yoga mat or towel.

Chess Club for Kids (6+ years)
Monday, May 19 at 6:00 pm
 
Doug Southall leads a chess club for children age six and older, approximately every two weeks. Each meeting will begin with a brief lesson on some aspect of the game, followed by free play.
