VIRTUAL: Q&A with Author Nicole Tersigni, Cat People to Judge in Art and Life Monday, December 9 at 7:00 pm From the author of the hit humor book Men to Avoid in Art and Life comes this tongue-in-cheek collection of cats' innermost thoughts. Cat people love their cats deeply . . . maybe a little too deeply. Cats, on the other hand, secretly hate our haircuts but tolerate our presence because we have the thumbs to open the food can. Against the backdrop of fine art, bestselling author Nicole Tersigni delves into the minds of our feline companions and the people who serve them. Nicole Tersigni is a comedic writer and author of the bestselling Men to Avoid in Art and Life, and its follow-up, Friends to Keep in Art and Life. She lives in Metro Detroit with her husband, daughter, and dog. Broken into five sections representing all kinds of cat people, including the Smotherer, the Oversharer, the Pushover, the Proud Parent, and the Roommate, this hilariously insightful cat humor book says the things our loved ones can’t—that Mewlius Caesar would enjoy us more if we gave them some space. And a better name. RECORDING NOTE: This program will be recorded. All registrants will receive the recording via email within 48 hours of the program. IN PERSON: Author Talk with Marc-Anthony Arena Tuesday, December 10 at 6:30 pm Are you frustrated with your computer? Bombarded by error messages? Did your uncle's neighbor's cat's cousin come over and install pirated software? Is your computer dreadfully slow? Join author Marc-Anthony Arena as he discusses his book, How to Protect Yourself from Your Computer. Marc-Anthony Arena has worked in the IT industry since 2000. In 2009, he began offering in-home tech support for seniors, as a way to help people and put a roof over his head. He soon realized the world is full of intelligent, successful people who are just overwhelmed by technology. They suffer at the hands of incompetent computer guys, pushy big box stores, and phone scammers. So he developed a method to simplify and bulletproof people's digital lives, rather than milking them for recurring fees. Apparently people enjoy saving tons of time and money. So he wrote a book (How to Protect Yourself from Your Computer), hosts The Computer Exorcist Podcast, and gives public talks, in order to explain tech concepts, online scams, and industry scandals, all in Plain English!

For poetry lovers, this one-of-a-kind anthology is an unparalleled collection of new work from today’s most lauded and revered poets.
