Hello South Country Community,
 
Adults -- registration for your Summer Reading Club begins Monday, June 27 at the Reference Desk. The first twenty people to sign up will receive a gift card for a free scoop of ice cream at Carla Marla's! After that, we have weekly raffles for great prizes.
 
Children and Teens -- registration for your Summer Reading Clubs begins Friday, July 1, at the Children's Desk and Young Adult Desk. For more, click here for Children and here for Teens.
 
We will be closed Sunday, June 19 and Monday, June 20 for Father's Day and in observance of Juneteenth.
 
Our July-August Newsletter will be mailed out on Thursday, June 23, so watch for it in your mailbox. That same day, it will be made available on our website, under the Events menu item.
 
Finally, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to the graduating Class of 2022! Here's to the next chapters of your lives.

Bring your donor card or ID with signature or photo. Masks must be worn.
Appointments are preferred; walk-ins will be accepted if space permits. 
 
Eligibility: Healthy people age 17-75*, who weigh a minimum of 110 lbs. Eat well (low fat); drink fluids. No tattoos for past 12 months. Please let us know in advance if you require special assistance due to a disability.
 
*Age 16 or age 76 and older may donate with special consent forms.
 Call NY Blood Services at 1-800-688-0900 with medical eligibility questions.

Supplies are low in our Give or Take Food Pantry
 
We have a bin in the lobby where we will gratefully accept all donations of non-perishable food to help re-stock the pantry. Thank you for your generosity!
Our Give or Take Food Pantry is located in the lobby, and available for those in need to obtain food items anytime the library is open.
 
The Library has a Notary Public
Available Tuesdays through Thursdays by appointment.

Fee: $2.00 per notarized signature
 
 
Renew or Apply for a New Library Card on Our Website
South Country Library patrons may renew their card or apply for a new one online. Images of photo ID & address verification are required. Or visit our Patron Services desk at the front of the library for the same service.
Services for Veterans and Job-Seekers
Helps veterans and their families navigate the VA bureaucracy, provides academic tutoring, and assists with employment transition.
Provides various tools to help with every step of the job search including résumé assistance, interview preparation, and career planning.
Both above services provide live virtual assistance
every day from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. A current library card is required.

Vaccines are available for everyone age 5 and older at vaccination clinics around the county and at home for people confined to their homes.
