Interested in receiving direct feedback on your writing from other writers? Join the writer’s workshop where writers read their work and share comments. We meet every two weeks until December and a new piece of writing is due at each class. Each story should be one page in length, any subject, and any style. This event is being offered by New York Life Insurance Company.
Drop in, no registration required. Having a free Child ID will give a parent/guardian peace of mind, knowing that should anything ever happen to their child, they will have an ID with vital information to distribute to the local authorities. In only 3 to 5 minutes, a Child ID card is printed for each parent/guardian. Child ID cards feature a child’s photo, fingerprints, contact information, and other pertinent data needed by the police in case of an emergency. Click here for more information.
 
No child’s information or pictures are electronically retained. All data is automatically erased upon printing the Child ID.

The library is pleased to welcome back Captain Jack, a professional Billy Joel Tribute Band consisting of some of the tri-state areas top musicians. The band, in every performance, captures the "live concert" arrangements of these timeless hits which captivated tens of thousands to Billy Joel Concerts. In addition, Captain Jack performs several "B" sides and rare album cuts in its shows, making it the most complete tribute to this amazing artist. Penny Lane: Beatles Tribute Band

We are excited to present Penny Lane: Beatles Tribute Band for their first South Country Library appearance. You will hear a sampling of Beatles songs spanning their entire career which always leaves crowds cheering for more! The show begins with early Beatles songs, then A Hard Day’s Night and continues with the mania of their Shea Stadium appearances, through Sgt. Pepper and then the Magical Mystery Tour and, finally, their legendary rooftop performance. Penny Lane's repertoire features all singles and favorite songs. Click here for more information.

South Country Library is now offering limited Notary Services. Please call (631) 286-0818 x1 to check for availability or click here for more information.
Fee: $2.00 per notarized signature
 
We are not able to notarize wills, mortgages, or sales of property.  All documents must be in English. You must have a valid New York State driver’s license or identification card. You may use a valid United States passport but must also have proof of residence that shows your current address. No post office boxes.

We serve first-time applicants, minor applicants, adult applicants whose most recent passport was issued as a minor, and applicants who have lost their passports.
