The Catholic Health Outreach Bus will be available in the South Country Library's parking lot for:
Brief cardiac history
Blood pressure screening
BMI screening
Simple blood test for cholesterol and glucose
Health education
Referrals as needed
Resources for those without insurance

One-On-One Medicare Counseling and Assistance
(Must be Medicare Eligible)
Every 2nd Monday of the Month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Registration is required for a 30-minute session
 
Schedule an appointment to meet individually with a Suffolk County RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) volunteer from HIICAP (Health Insurance Information, Counseling & Assistance Program) to answer questions and provide information specific to your own needs regarding Medicare health insurance and benefits, Medicare Savings Programs, Extra Help for prescription drugs and EPIC.
 
The services provided by HIICAP are free and unbiased.

Green Key Parking Permit Pilot Program
(one-day parking permits for Suffolk County Parks and Beaches)

$5.00 per pass, limit of 3. While supplies last.
Must show your South Country Library card. Go to the Patron Services
Desk to buy a one-day parking pass for $5.00. You’ll fill out a quick
survey on your cell phone and receive the pass via email. Passes are
valid while parking is being charged (now through Labor Day 2025).

The one-time use parking permit is good for Blydenburgh County Park,
Cathedral Pines County Park, Cedar Point County Park, Cupsogue County
Park, Indian Island County Park, Lake Ronkonkoma County Park, Meschutt
County Park, Montauk County Park, Shinnecock East County Park, Smith
Point County Park, and Southaven County Park.
 
The Gateway Playhouse Bellport.
A voucher, good for 50% off non-premium tickets, is available at the library’s Patron Services Desk; use it to purchase tickets online for the current main stage show (Pretty Woman The Musical through 7/13; Phantom 8/1-8/31). Limits apply. For 10% off premium seats, link to our Small Business Discount Program in this email for Gateway code.

South Country Library now offers limited Notary Services. Please call (631) 286-0818 x1 to check for availability or click here for more information.
Fee: $2.00 per notarized signature
 
We are not able to notarize wills, mortgages, or sales of property.  All documents must be in English. You must have a valid New York State driver’s license or identification card. You may use a valid United States passport but must also have proof of residence that shows your current address. No post office boxes.
