Read and Reuse During the month of April we are inviting patrons to create flowers, tassels and bookmarks out of recycled book pages. We will have the materials available, along with step-by-step instructions, at the table at the front of the library. It's a fun make-and-take activity to help us acknowledge Earth Day but we hope you show us what you make before you take it away! Happy crafting!

School Vacation Week is Coming You probably know what that means! Our regularly scheduled REGISTERED programming (Preschool Story Hour, Preschool Playgroup and Registered Toddler Time) will all be on vacation that week too. However, our drop-in Family Story Hour on Saturday will still be up and running and we often drop in a few fun activities for that week too. Students in grades 3 to 5 can sign up for a needle felting class with Pop-Up Art School on Tuesday, April 22 at 2 PM and Mr. Jonathan will have Lego Club for students in grades K and up on Wednesday, April 23 at 3:45 PM. Click HERE for a printable calendar with all our events.

Thank you for your adaptability! We have done our best to have a seamless transition while Miss Amy is out on leave but some of our families and friends have had to get used to having different faces in the front of the room for programs in the library and in the schools. We thank you for being so welcoming and kind and rolling with the changes. Congratulations to Miss Amy and her family on the addition of Emmett Michael. Emmett has already has his first visit to the library and we are very excited to have a new member of the APL family!

Patriots' Day It's school vacation week AND the library is closed. What's a teen to do? Great question. Maybe this will help. The Meet Boston website has a page (click HERE) dedicated to the cool events happening in and around Boston on the day of this "revolutionary" holiday that is only celebrated or recognized by 6 states and the District of Columbia. Don't want to venture out? You can always try one of these books instead!
