LINKcat New and Improved. Coming April 17: Manage Libby Holds, Renewals and Checkouts in LINKcat

LINKcat will be offline April 12-16

New and Improved LINKcat arrives April 17!

Big changes are coming as we transition to a new integrated library system (ILS). Our ILS helps us organize and manage nearly 3 million items shared between all of the South Central Library System libraries.

LINKcat will be offline April 12-16. During that time:

  • You will need to bring your physical library card to check out library materials. Self-check machines will not be available and the LINKcat app will not be working. We will be on a backup system and unable to lookup your account with a name/ID. If you are picking up another person's holds, you will need their card.

  • No need to return items. We will be unable to check items in, so please keep them at home if possible! We'll be extending due dates, so no fines or late fees will be incurred April 12-17. And remember, we are a fine free library!

  • OverDrive/Libby, computers, printing services, and other online resources will still be available.

When the new system goes live on April 17:

  • Your LINKcat password/PIN will reset to a default PIN (MMDD of your birthdate). You will have the option to change the PIN after first logging in.

  • Please allow extra time for returned items to be removed from your account as we work through the backlog and adjust to the new system.

Stay tuned to our website, social media and LINKcat Help for all the latest information and thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes!
