Family Game Day

Spend some quality time with loved ones this Valentine's Day by playing games together! We'll provide a variety of new and classic games, or you can bring your own. Enjoy light refreshments and bring a food pantry donation for a chance to win a free game.

The Anxious Generation Community Discussion. Saturday, February 7 at 10 AM, Waubesa Intermediate School or Wednesday, February 25 at 6:30 PM E.D. Locke Public Library. The School District of McFarland and E.D. Locke Public Library welcome you to join a community discussion about The Anxious Generation as a way to reflect, learn, and grow as a community. Copies will be available for checkout through E.D. Locke Public Library and the South Central Library System.

Jonathan Haidt's book, The Anxious Generation, explores the influence digital technology has had on children's development and mental well-being. The School District of McFarland and E.D. Locke Public Library welcome you to join us in a community discussion about this book as a way to reflect, learn, and grow as a community. Choose from two opportunities to join the discussion.

Explore the history of racial covenants in Dane County and nationwide with Rick Bernstein, Executive Director of the Dane County Historical Society. We will also have an accompanying traveling exhibit on display in the library throughout the month of February. This exhibit and program have been made possible by the generous support of Dane Arts, Evjue Foundation, Beyond the Page, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Madison Community Foundation, and Dane County Historical Society.
