End of Summer Bash

Let's end our summer in style! Join us outside the library in the Discovery Garden Park for an all-ages event with food trucks, face-painting, lawn games, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, and The Sorry Mountain Band! Generously sponsored by Friends of McFarland Library.

Many of you have noticed and asked about the lockers in the entryway closest to our parking lot. We are happy to announce these are now available for picking up your holds from 6:00 am - 10:00 pm daily.

Join us for our 3rd annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids Dash. NEW THIS YEAR - dogs are welcome in our 5K and the Kids Dash will be an obstacle course! Join us for a fun way to support the library!

Free Outdoor Movie Night. Wednesday, August 14th, 6:30 pm. Lewis Park. Free Kona Ice and popcorn available from 5:30pm-6:45pm. Popcorn available while supplies last. Sponsored by E.D. Locke and the RADAR Coalition.

Join E.D. Locke and the RADAR Coalition at our free Outdoor Movie Night to celebrate the end of summer! Bring your own chairs and blankets and watch Disney's Elemental under the stars with friends and family.

Mending 101 with artist Emily Eklof. Thursday, August 8, 6-8 PM. Library Community Room. Learn two basic mending techniques & bring a garment to practice on. Registration is required and opens July 25.

McFarland Cemetery Walking Tours with local historian Ron Larson. Tuesday, July 9th, 6:30-8 PM "Vote! Elected McFarlanders" Tuesday, August 20th, 6:30-8 PM: "Faith of Our Fathers: History of the McFarland Lutheran Church." Tours begin at the Lower McFarland Cemetery. Registration is required and will open two weeks prior to each walk.
Dungeons & Dragons Intro for Adults. Saturday, August 24, 9:30-11:30; 12:30-2:30; 3-5. Library Community Room. Space is limited; registration is required and will open August 9.
