New Additions
We are excited to share that our Library of Things has expanded!  You can now check out a Bird Watching kit featuring adult and children's size binoculars, a book on birds of New England, and a log book to record what you spotted.  We also have a Hiking Kit featuring a compass, trekking poles, and a drawstring backpack bag.  There is A Seasonal Affective Disorder Therapy Lamp, a Soil Tester, and a garden kneeler bench.  More new items to arrive soon!

We are also thrilled to announce the Dementia Friendly Resource Center!
Currently located to the right of the Circulation desk, the Resource Center features Puzzles, games, art kits, fidget blankets, and other items that can be checked out.  These items are designed to be easy to use and to support people with cognitive challenges as a result of Dementia, Alzheimer's, or TBI.  We also have pamphlets from the Alzheimer's Association that cover different topics of interest.

The Holbrook Public Library was awarded a $15,000 grant from the Association for Rural And Small Libraries!  Thanks to this very generous grant, we will be able to add a mobile demonstration kitchen unit and a solar powered bench with charging capabilities for outdoor seating.  We will also be able to offer a series of Cooking Classes featuring programs on Healthy Meals, Maximizing SNAP Benefits, Cooking with fresh produce from the Farmers Market, and Cooking from your Garden.  Finally, we are excited to be able to start a small garden at the Library.  Our garden will have raised planters, included ones specifically designed to be accessible to people in wheelchairs or mobility challenges.  Join us for our first planning meeting on March 7 at 6:30pm to learn more details!

Thank you to ARSL for their support of our Library Community!
