HOLBROOK PUBLIC LIBRARY NEWSLETTER
APRIL   2025
“Spring is made of solid, fourteen-karat gratitude, the reward for the long wait. Every religious tradition from the northern hemisphere honors some form of April hallelujah, for this is the season of exquisite redemption, a slam-bang return to joy after a season of cold second thoughts.”
― Barbara Kingsolver, Animal, Vegetable, Mineral

Come visit us at the library this month as we celebrate Earth Day, have a lot of April vacation week fun, solve two challenging puzzles from Co-Operatives Puzzle Walls, help Dog Man save the day, sing our hearts out with Elphie & Glinda, discuss ALL the books during one of several our book discussions, or help you expand your computer skills!

April is promising to be a great month here at the Holbrook Public Library!

For Our Gardeners, Builders, and Outdoors enthusiasts

We are looking to relocate and expand our community garden this spring as well as start Pollinator Gardens on the Plymouth Street Entrance, a rain garden in the back of the building,  add native shade loving perennials on the parking lot border, add do some container berry bushes.  There will be more information to come, but if you have any interest in volunteering to help us make this all a reality or have any donations of supplies/equipment that you no longer have need for, please email:  pconway@holbrook.ocln.org or KGomes@holbrook.ocln.org.  We are excited to be working to expand access to fresh food in Holbrook and to protecting the environment for the future!
