Lawn Concert with Abe Ovadia Tuesday August 1, 1-2pm Library Lawn We are excited to welcome Abe Ovadia for a live, outdoor performance on the lawn (he will play inside in case of rain). Note this is NOT an evening concert - but a lunchtime one. Stop on by! Abe Ovadia has been hailed by Musicvox Guitars as a "jazz virtuoso" and "one of the most innovative guitarists of our time." His reputation as one of New York City's premier jazz guitarists has been cemented by Times Square NYC, who lauds him as a reliable purveyor of world-class jazz. Raising Our Voices: A Story and Song Celebration Thursday July 27, 3-4pm Library Lawn The Falmouth Public Library will celebrate imagination, empowerment, School Vacation and the 2023 Summer Reading Program by presenting a performance for children and families by Parents’ Choice Award winning performing Davis Bates. Entitled “Raising Our Voices”, the program will include songs and stories about empowerment and imagination from a variety of cultural traditions. Hear about a brave parrot, how coyote got his howl and be prepared to sing, move and clap your hands. The program will include plenty of sing-alongs, as well as a short lesson in how to play the spoons, and an appearance by an Irish dancing wooden dog named Bingo. This performance is funded, in part, by a grant from the Falmouth Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Come explore the shore of Cedar Lake, learn about the Importance of freshwater and participate in a craft activity. Listen, Learn, Explore Freshwater Ponds is presented by Amanda Bock, school librarian, and Joyce Bock, President of Friends of Cedar Lake. This program is designed for ages 6-8. Introduction to Shark Biology Tuesday August 1, 3-4pm Hermann Room
Youth Services presents Introduction to Shark Biology with the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy! Learn about sharks with fun, age-appropriate activities including assembling life-sized puzzles of juvenile and adult white sharks! This program is appropriate for ages 6 and up and registration is required. |

Movies Under the Stars: It's About The Music Wednesday August 2, 6 & 8pm Library Lawn The Falmouth Village Association will be showing double feature movies on the library lawn every Wednesday night at dusk (6pm-10pm) starting July 19th and ending August 16th! BYO blankets and chairs and join us on the library lawn to enjoy some outdoor family fun with Movies Under the Stars. These movies are weather dependent and are free to the public. No registration is required. Tonight's movie theme is It's About The Music!
