Zoom Talk: The Night We Lost Him with Laura Dave Wednesday, December 11th, 2pm-3pm Online via Zoom Join us for a captivating virtual conversation with #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Last Thing He Told Me, Laura Dave, as she chats with us online about her newest book The Night We Lost Him. The Night We Lost Him focuses on estranged siblings who discover their father has been keeping a secret for over fifty years, one that may have been fatal... Liam Noone was many things to many people. To the public, he was an exacting, self-made hotel magnate fleeing his past. To his three ex-wives, he was a loving albeit distant family man who kept his finances flush and his families carefully separated. To Nora, he was a father who often loved her from afar - notably a cliffside cottage perched on the California coast from which he fell to his death. The authorities rule the death accidental, but Nora and her estranged brother Sam have other ideas. As Nora and Sam form an uneasy alliance to unravel the mystery, they start putting together the pieces of their father's past—and uncover a family secret that changes everything. With Laura Dave's trademark combination of soulful suspense and evocative family drama, The Night We Lost Him is a riveting page-turner. About the Author: Laura Dave is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of several novels, including The Last Thing He Told Me and Eight Hundred Grapes. Her novels have been translated into thirty-eight languages, and six of them, including The Night We Lost Him, have been optioned for film and television. She resides in Santa Monica, California. This is a virtual talk brought to us by the Library Speakers Consortium, funded by the Falmouth Support Fund. Please note that this event is online via Zoom only.

Falmouth Digital Equity Community WorkshopWednesday, December 11th, 5:30pm-7:30pm Hermann Meeting Room "Are you connected? Do you have the devices, skills, and internet access you need to engage online? Can you easily stay connected with friends and family, pay bills and monitor expenses, manage your healthcare, access schoolwork, and participate in community discussions? The Town of Falmouth is working with the Cape Cod Commission to develop a municipal digital equity plan. The plan will detail challenges that community members like you face with the internet and technology. Together, we can identify solutions to ensure that all have equal access to our increasingly digital world. Your perspective is critical – join us to shape the plan! You can shape the plan by taking a survey, joining a community workshop, and by staying up to date as the plan progresses. Join us at a community workshop on December 11th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm in the Hermann Meeting Room at the Falmouth Public Library to share your thoughts and experiences."
