2025: A Year of Reading

Happy New Year, American Fork! We are excited to kick off 2025 with some awesome challenges to make this a great year to enjoy books:

  • The Well-Read Reading Challenge caters to our avid adult readers. If you read 50 books in 2025, you'll be invited to an exclusive dinner next January!

  • Reading Prompts serve those looking to try something new or who want help choosing their next read. Each book read in response earns an automatic entry into a drawing for an Amazon gift card. Prompts change each quarter.

  • Well-Read Challenge: Teen Edition is for ages 12-18. Read 20 books in one year to earn your spot at an invite-only pizza party with fellow book lovers!

  • Pageturners challenges 1st-6th graders to read 25 books throughout the school year, but they are welcome to join anytime. Books they have read since September count! Prizes for completion include their own book and an invitation to a special Pageturners' party in May.

  • 1000 Books Before Kindergarten encourages caregivers to read to their babies, toddlers, & preschoolers. Reading with your child every day instills a love of books and prepares them for school and beyond. Your child will earn a prize for every 50 books you read together.

Record your reading during these challenges 2 ways: sign up for Beanstack* or pick up a tracking sheet in the Library. The one exception is Reading Prompts which are only found on Beanstack.

We look forward to seeing you at the American Fork Library this year!

*Beanstack is a digital tracking app we use for many of our challenges & programs throughout the year. Get the app or go to americanfork.beanstack.org to create your account and get started.
