April 2026

Celebrate your public libraries!

Celebrate National Library Week, April 19-25, 2026.

National Library Week may be one week, but the celebration can continue all year long. This year’s theme, “Find Your Joy,” is a reminder that libraries offer something for everyone, every day. Whether you’re discovering a new book, attending a program, exploring library resources, connecting with your community, or learning something new, there are countless ways to find your library joy throughout the year.

Find your library joy!

Get growing at the library!

Spring is the perfect time to get growing, and several  member libraries are here to help with seed libraries. Stop by participating locations to “check out” a variety of seeds for free and start your garden at home.

Plant what you can, harvest what you grow, and if you’re able, return seeds from your crops later in the year. Seeds are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

And while you’re planning your garden, be sure to browse your library’s shelves for a variety of gardening books and guides to help inspire you.
