In the News

Dr. Darrell Williams, Assistant State Superintendent for the Division for Libraries and Technology at the Wisconsin Department of Instruction, visited two member libraries during Library Card Sign-up Month.

Dr. Williams toured Jefferson Public Library, spoke with staff, and visited with patrons during the Memory Café about dogs on September 11.

Dr. Williams also toured Waukesha Public Library and learned to make empanadas with Dahlia's Bistro during a program in the library's demonstration kitchen on September 25.

Dan Kyle, from B93.3 Radio, took a tour of the L.D. Fargo Public Library in Lake Mills to learn about the building's rich history, their great community programs, fun children's area, and more!

At Butler Public Library, the industrious library gnomes were hard at work planning the Friends of the Butler Library's Trivia Fundraiser event for October 21.

Waukesha Reads

Waukesha Public Library

Waukesha Public Library staff gave out 420 Waukesha Reads books, Shotgun Lovesongs by Nickolas Butler, at Apple Harvest Festival held at Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha.

The library gave away more than 1,500 copies of the book to patrons in September and will host over 20 activities throughout October.
