Three Girls from Bronzeville: A Uniquely American Memoir of Race, Fate, and Sisterhood
by Dawn Turner

This fast-paced, redemptive memoir by a Chicago journalist and novelist depicts her coming-of-age along with that of her younger sister, Kim, and best friend, Debra, in their historic Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago in the 1970s. Read about their joys, dreams for future careers, and vows of forever friendship—yet also how their paths veer in dramatically different directions—facing heartbreak, loss, and a murder charge. How do the choices they make and the choices that are made for them affect their futures?
