Discover Alternative End-of-Life Options
with Narinder Bazen of Atlanta Death Midwifery
In the U.S., arrangements surrounding the passing of a loved one are almost completely outsourced to the medical system and the funeral industry. As an alternative, families are seeking ways to create sacred spaces in their homes and may call on Death Midwives for assistance.

Just as Birth Midwives and Doulas have brought birth back into the home, Death Midwives aim to support families who wish to care for their own dying and the bodies of their loved ones.

Come to the library to meet Narinder Bazen of Atlanta Death Midwifery and discover alternative options to help your family care for dying loved ones and their final arrangements.

Death Midwifery & Home Funerals
Tuesday, January 15, 2019
7:00 p.m.
Post Road Library

Narinder Bazen explains the alternative choices available to individuals and families at the end of life and details services typically available with Death Midwifery and Home Funerals.

Ms. Bazen is not in the medical field and will not be speaking from a medical point of view. Rather, she will serve as the voice of experience of one who has knelt beside the beds of the dying, stood graveside with families, and who has spent hours with their communities creating calm and sacred space in those final days.

She works alongside hospice and funeral directors, she does not duplicate them. Ms. Bazen will share stories and talk with participants about a new way to look at death, dying, and after-death care.
