There are always so many fun things to do in Forsyth County this time of year, and our Libraries are no exception. Take a pumpkin-themed story stroll in our Secret Garden, celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with an art exhibit by Hispanic Georgia-based artists, learn how to make a variety of fall-themed crafts, go on a ghost hunt (if you dare), and so much more. Of course, autumn is also the perfect time to curl up with a good book. With nearly 450,000 items in our collection, we cannot wait to help you find your next favorite book. Special Exhibit: "Service, Citizenship, and Civil Rights” On loan from Kennesaw State University and generously funded by a grant from the Breman Foundation of Atlanta, "Service, Citizenship, and Civil Rights" is a ten-panel traveling exhibit that traces the history of veterans with a focus on those who have experienced marginalization due to membership in various identity groups.

Hands-On Programs for Preschoolers Looking for something educational and fun to do with your preschooler on Friday mornings? All four of our Libraries have hands-on programs for preschoolers on Fridays at 11:00 a.m. Join us to rotate through a variety of thematic STEM and early literacy stations with your preschooler and make memories together while you help them prepare for kindergarten.

FCPL Reads in 2022: October Reading Goal

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, our October goal for FCPL Reads in 2022 is to read a book by a Hispanic author. Need some suggestions? Browse these curated, age-specific book lists of books by Hispanic authors for adults, teens, and kids. FCPL Reads in 2022 is a series of monthly reading goals designed to help readers discover new authors, genres, and formats. Travel the world, celebrate other cultures, and celebrate reading! This program runs from January - December 2022 and is for all ages (kindergarten and up). Read at your own pace, choose the goals that interest you, and read them in any order. Start any time! You can also visit our Recommended Reads for Adults page to view all our librarian-curated book lists. Want a more personalized reading suggestion?
