Star Wars Reads Day

Calling all Jedis, rebels, and servants of the Empire! Join us to celebrate Star Wars Reads at Sharon Forks!
 
Come dressed in your Star Wars best to meet members of the 501st Legion and participate in our costume parade. We'll also have Star Wars crafts, a Jedi Training obstacle course, Star Wars escape rooms, a scavenger hunt worthy of a galaxy far, far, away, and more!
 
This program is for all ages! No registration required.

Come meet some awesome trucks up-close! See vehicles from Forsyth County Fire Department and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, a Forsyth County school bus, a Sawnee EMC bucket truck, a Sawnee Medical Ambulance, and more are expected to make an appearance at Touch a Truck in the Sharon Forks Library parking lot this year!
 
Enjoy the vehicles, take photos, ask questions, then come inside to cool off with things-that-go activities!
 
No registration required. Please note that on-site parking may be limited during this program.

Paws to Read gives patrons of all ages an opportunity to read and relax with a certified therapy dog while improving literacy skills.
 
 
Sphero Wars Coding Camp
THREE DAY CAMP:
Wednesday, September 26 - Friday, September 28
2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
For Grades 3-5
 
Join us for Sphero Wars! Use the force and coding to program Sphero to destroy the Death Star, then work together to build a space maze and race through the galaxy to escape Darth Vader and join the Rebellion!
 
This program is for children in grades 3-5.
 
Space is limited. Each class curriculum builds on the last so attendees must attend all three sessions.

Rotten to the Core

Explore the Rotten to the Core world of The Descendants, the children of the Disney villains.
 
Enjoy clips from the first movie, games, and activities as they decide what path they want to follow – to become good or stay “rotten to the core”!

For infants up to 24 months
 
Develop baby's pre-literacy skills as well as physical, social, and mental development. This storytime introduces a love for books, song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. Improve motor, sensory and social skills during free play time, which also provides an opportunity for both babies and parents to socialize.
 
Books & Babies is also about parents as you bond and learn with baby as well as meet other parents in the community.
 
This program is for babies up to 24 months old, with a parent or caregiver, and lasts 20-30 minutes. No registration required.
 
Book of the Month

Celebrate our favorite books, authors, and genres each month with games, activities, crafts, book tastings, and more!
 
This month we’re celebrating Roald Dahl's birthday with fun games, activities, and crafts inspired by some of our favorite Roald Dahl books.
 
Space in this program is limited. Tickets will be given out 15 minutes prior to the program.
 
A Bad Kitty Experience

All ages welcome.
 
Join us for a cat-tastic storytime featuring the one and only, Bad Kitty! We'll have stories, songs, puppets, and crafts all about the master of cat havoc herself! Don't forget to bring your camera for a picture with Bad Kitty!
 
Registration is not required. Space is limited, so please arrive early to secure your place.
Chill Time for Teens

Tired of classes and homework? New school year wearing you down? Take a break and chill at the library!
