January 2026 News @ FCPL |
|
|
Here we are again at the end of another year, and what a year it was!
In 2025 we welcomed our fabulous new Library Director, Adrianne Junius; we celebrated our former Director, Anna Lyle, for numerous accolades including her recognition as Georgia's 2024 Public Library Director of the Year; we opened our much anticipated Denmark Library; and we learned that out of over 400 public libraries in Georgia, our very own Sharon Forks Library, Post Road Library, and Cumming Library were the top three highest circulating libraries in the entire state for FY24. Not too shabby, FCPL.
Of course, none of those achievements would be possible without the incredible support of the Forsyth County community and our stakeholders. Thank you for all you do to make Forsyth County Public Library such a popular destination for our patrons and staff. We are so grateful and look forward to another wonderful year with you in 2026.
Happy New Year!

When a teenager vanishes from her Adirondack summer camp, two worlds collide. Early morning, August 1975: a camp counselor discovers an empty bunk. Its occupant, Barbara Van Laar, has gone missing. Barbara isn't just any thirteen-year-old: she's the daughter of the family that owns the summer camp and employs most of the region's residents. And this isn't the first time a Van Laar child has disappeared. Moore's multi-threaded story invites readers into a rich and gripping dynasty of secrets and second chances. |
