November News @ FCPL |
|
|
Happy Halloween and hello November!
'Tis the season of giving thanks, and although the days may be growing shorter, there is no shortage of things to feel grateful for this month (and always) at Forsyth County Public Library (FCPL)!
Whether it's enjoying the absolutely stellar space-themed story stroll at the Denmark Library, the free college test prep classes and free online tutoring sessions that helped your teen ace an exam, or the fact that eBooks and eAudiobooks always return automatically (no overdue fines!), we bet there's something about FCPL you can add to your gratitude list today.
Read on for library news, featured resources, and upcoming programs you won't want to miss.
With gratitude,
Leslie Marinelli FCPL Communications Manager |

Longer Wait Times for Bestseller Holds
You may be experiencing longer than usual wait times for holds on bestsellers.
This delay is due to a major, nationwide supply chain disruption: Our largest book supplier, Baker & Taylor, recently announced its abrupt closure. As a result, all public libraries across the country are now competing to place orders with the same small group of remaining vendors.
Rest assured, FCPL’s Materials team is working hard to process new orders as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this temporary issue. |

American Revolution ExperienceTraveling Exhibit presented by American Battlefield Trust
FCPL has been chosen to host an exclusive traveling exhibit about the American Revolution presented by American Battlefield Trust, courtesy of the Chestatee River Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution (Chestatee River NSDAR).
This is a 12-panel exhibit with 3 interactive kiosks that visitors may view at their own pace. Volunteers from the Chestatee River, Patriots of Liberty NSDAR, as well as Robert Forsyth SAR will be present in period costumes to answer questions.
