February Happenings @ FCPL |
|
|
It’s official: Punxsutawney Phil and our very own General Beauregard "Beau" Lee have spotted their shadows. According to the pros, we’re in for six more weeks of winter!
I don't know about you, but I was kind of hoping the last two weekends would satisfy our winter weather quota for 2026!
Fortunately, even when it's too cold and icy to head out, ForsythPL.org is always open. This month, we're highlighting two of our favorite resources: Libby and The Palace Project—two very different free resources you can use to bring the Library directly to your devices.
February may be the shortest month of the year, but there is no shortage of books, events, services, and resources for you to love at your library! Read on to discover how FCPL can help you make the most of these next six wintery weeks.

Libby and The Palace Project
Use your library card to borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks with the following two free apps:
1.) The Libby app, available for iOS and Android, as well as in your browser,
offers eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and access to online music lessons through ArtistWorks.
2.) The Palace Project app, available for iOS and Android, for eBooks, eAudiobooks, and access to eRead Kids content for kids.
The Palace Project is a newer app, so it can be a little quirky at times, but one of the best features of Palace is that it often has shorter wait times for high-demand titles!
Digital items from Libby and The Palace Project always return automatically on the due date so you'll never receive any overdue fines.
Read more about these two apps on our Bookmarked Blog today, or click one of the logos below to learn more about it and get started.
