May truly marvels @ FoCo Library!

Welcome to May at Forsyth County Public Library! As the April showers bring May flowers, we're blossoming with excitement for all the wonderful happenings this month.

Did you catch the celestial spectacle of the April solar eclipse? We hope it was as "illuminating" for you as it was for the 251 people who attended our Solar Eclipse Celebration at Cumming Library (pictured above).

This month we're celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, calling for submissions for an amateur photography exhibition, and gearing up to launch our biggest ongoing event of the year: Summer Reading Fun. Whether you're a bookworm, an audiobook aficionado, or a graphic novel guru, we have challenges and prizes suited for readers of all ages. Let's make this summer one for the books!

Keep reading for library updates, program previews, and valuable resources you won't want to miss. As always, thank you for being a cherished part of our library community.

Happy reading!

Denmark Library Update

Things are progressing beautifully at the Denmark Library construction site!

Crews have recently completed the installation of the roof decking and exterior wall framing. The first layer of asphalt has been laid on all driving and parking surfaces and all sidewalks are now complete.

As you can see in the photo above, installation of the exterior walls has begun, along with the framing for storefront glass windows.

See additional photos, details, and a time-lapse construction video on the Denmark Library page of our website.

Just log your reading to earn motivating incremental prizes and the chance to win fabulous grand prizes at the end of the summer.

Summer Reading Fun doesn't officially begin until the last day of school, May 23, but early registration is open now.
