After-Hours Concert: Guzheng with Bei Bei 

Saturday, March 28 • 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm • Grant R. Brimhall Library 

Experience the enchanting music of the guzheng, performed by an internationally acclaimed and award-winning artist, Beibei Monter. The Guzheng (pronounced goo-jung) is a 21-string traditional Chinese zither with a history of over 2,500 years. Joined by guitarist Jon Monter, the duo will present an evening of contemporary fusion works. Seating will be open and available on a first come first served basis. This is a FREE event being held at the Grant R. Brimhall Library. 

Gosh Yarn It! Crochet Club *New Time*

Relax, crochet, and socialize at our crochet club! Beginners and experts alike are welcome to bring your own supplies and hang out with fellow crocheters as we sip tea and work on our projects. For ages 11+.

Step Into the Magic of Learning: CVUSD TK Winter Wonderland Night!

Do you have a child who will be turning 4 by September 1, 2026? Join us for an enchanting evening at our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Night! CVUSD and Thousand Oaks Library are partnering to create a Winter Wonderland where your child can play, create, and explore while you get a firsthand look at how CVUSD’s TK program builds the foundation for academic success for students. Note: No snow gear required—just a sense of wonder!

Conversations with Mom

This free support group is for moms and their newborns to get together, express their joys and concerns, and meet other new moms in the community. Other caregivers including fathers and grandparents are welcome to attend the program on the last Tuesday of the month.

International Women’s History Month Story Slam

Writers 18+ are invited to enter our International Women’s Month Story Slam! Submit a 1,000–1,200 word fiction or nonfiction story that highlights women’s voices, experiences, or influences by Sunday, March 8. Entries can be turned in in person at the Information Desk or emailed to info@tolibrary.org (subject: “Story Slam”). The top 8 writers will read their stories live, selected readers will be notified on Friday, March 13.

18th Annual Thousand Oaks Reads: One City, One Book

Get ready to read together, Thousand Oaks! 📚✨This year’s book selection will be revealed at the Tuesday, March 10 City Council Meeting. Starting Wednesday, March 11, copies will be available at both libraries in paperback, large print, eBook, and eAudiobook formats—so everyone can join in. Mark your calendar for a special author event at the Kavli Theater on Sunday, April 26. More programs and events will be announced soon. Stay tuned for ways to connect, discuss, and celebrate this year’s read together!

If you have books to donate, please drop off your donations at either the Thousand Oaks Library or Newbury Park Library during open hours. The Friends are seeking donations of good condition paperbacks and recent nonfiction releases. Proceeds from the book sale allow the Friends to sponsor library collections and programs.
